| If someone from somewhere else were to come and visit your nation, what would they see? How would they explain it to someone else who hadn't been there? How would they like it, or hate it with every last fibre of their body?
These are the words that describe the four Major Cities of the CDSP:
Cape Slaviak: "I felt a tad scared walking through the streets there. I couldn't help but examining the obsessive amounts of armed guards and SAM sites. What's worse, every damned person had a PDW or a shotgun! The place is divided into three sectons, the wealthy didstrict, the industrial district and the suburban district. The place seemed very brown, and the foothills surrounding the city are all the same color."
Veshivoslav: "The snow, the snow, the damned snow! The place is black and white, and that's it. The sky never cleared from the dreary cloud cover. Not a sign of life other than the passing car tank and civilian, whom also seemed lifeless. Black, towering buildings and mountains loom overhead, and I swear there were snipers on the roofs! Speaking of which, there was an MG inplacement on the roof of every store! I can't go anwhere without being down someone's ironsight! Did I mention the snow!?"
Ember: "It was a dark place, very noisy with all the manufacturing, refining and mining. Distracting as it may be, it was a much better sight than Veshivoslav. It's name is very fitting, that was the color of the whole city. But the most facinating thing was the black dragon I met. Never seen anything like her in my life. Black as night and thrice the size of an elephant. What surprised me the most was how docile she was. The old tales of dragons razing entire countries did not fit her very well."
Bossk: "Not much to say, although it was the nicest place to be. Because of the CDSPian food problem, almost all the food comes from here in the flatlands, and all the money comes here. So the city is booning with life. It is pretty average compared to a town back home but after my trips it feels like a hub of culture and personality. Instaid of shotguns they have pistols, and don't swear at you for glancing at them. How this nation hasn't colapsed I'll never know." |

| Konigzspire: "You should've seen this place. Imagine the biggest, most urbanized city you can imagine and multiply it by ten. There you have it, Konigzspire. Snow blankets every inch of the roofs and streets. The city is full of everything you could imagine. Museums, schools, hospitals, parks, plazas, movie theaters, malls, a huge industrial sector, everything. And to top it all off, you can see the massive palazzo of the Royal Kyzar from anywhere in the city. Konigzspire is truly the frozen heart and soul of Kommandoria." Stobaakin: "Stobaakin is a hell of a quaint, little city. It's nestled in the most gorgeous, snowy mountains. While not the typical industrial, urban sprawl, it is a nice place to live. Stobaakin has stores and entertainment areas, but it is a maze of small, suburban houses and cottages. I wouldn't mind living here. Nice and quiet, well, except for the gigantic airport that makes this city famous." Elexesta: "Truly a modern Babylon. Or at least it is in terms of sheer beauty. This is an oasis, away from all the snow and ice. Lush, exotic plants dominate the cityscape. The most amazing thing about this city is the fact that it possesses a tropical rain forest in its main park. At night, it's just as beautiful. All of the nocturnal and luminescent flora light up, setting the city aflame with purple, blue, and green glows." That's just three, but I hope you enjoyed them

| Bucharest City: "The city of the one thousand spires. This is one of the most orderly cities I have ever seen. It feels more like a fortress than anything else and there's a squad of armed policemen at every major intersection. Bear in mind, when I say armed policemen, I don't mean some pistol-waving grunt, but troopers wearing kevlar from head to toe and packing anti-personel assault rifles. Since the penalty for most crimes is execution and the local law enforcement doesn't really care if you've heard their warning before they shoot, crime is not really a problem here. Also, please bear in mind that there is a law here for compulsory gun ownership, so before you mess with someone's daughter, remember that civillians also have access to high caliber automatic weapons. Oh, and don't even try to eat in a restaurant without paying your bill, less you want some chef chasing you around with a SCAR rifle (local assault rifle, kind of like an AK-47 around here)." |

| Prizyetsa features a wide variety of different biomes and climates to fit everyone’s preference, from lush forests in the South to barren ice-desserts in the extreme Northern islands. Dividing the nation in two are the Kalliana Mountains running from West to East, where numerous ski resort villages can be found (similar to Austria for those of you in Europe) and some of the last glaciers in the world outside the arctic and Antarctic region. To the East near the sea, the mountains slowly disappear, leaving behind vast open plains, where a variety of crops grow in the spring and summer months, to be harvested in the fall, accompanied by a thousand shades of orange and red as the leaves fall from the trees, saying their last good-byes of the year before disappearing for the winter, leaving the trees bare. In the West, fjords run up the coast leading to the North where the hard rocks of the Prizyetsi “Nordkap” meet the unforgiving waves of the Akazian and Kanzar seas.
The many cities in Prizyetsa are as different as the different regions of the country, each with its own character and atmosphere from the hyper modern cities of Venji, the capital, and Kormosk, to the towns in the mountains which seem to come straight from a children’s fairy tale book.
Like the cities, the people of Prizyetsa are as various as the many biomes in the nation, each seemingly more charming than the last you met. Shake a man’s hand as he guides you into his tavern or restaurant, owned and run by his own family, and take a seat as he brings you a customary basket of Paranbrød and sits down with you for a drink as you exchange stories. He does it not for profit, but out of the kindness of his heart, and for the experiences shared by foreigners who have become friends. Wander through the old city quarters and explore, or take a guided tour as you take in the rich culture and history which can be found in every nook and cranny of Prizyetsa. Don’t worry about crime in Prizyetsa, as it is barely a problem, only present in the more built-up areas, since it is against the culture of the people to steal, and there is enough wealth in the nation for there to be no need to resort to crime.
Venji (Capital): There is an old saying in Prizyetsa, "the path will always take you to Venji." It seems they were right. This is truly a multicultural city, with markets in the medievil squares of the old quarter, while the modern shopping malls are merely streets away. Here, people from all over the Western continent converge to exchange goods, ideas and discuss diplomacy. This truly is a world capital. Here, children walk the streets freely, under the ever-watching eye of the police, the polit'ya, who watch over the streets with a friendly smile, often giving directions to lost foreigners. As you walk the streets of the old capital of the city-state of Ven, smells catch your curiosity as you are drawn to one of the many bakeries in the city which make ven'dir, the cities trademark pastries, filling the streets with the smell of baked hazlenuts and various berries which make up the jam which fills them. Further along, you find yourself in the financial district, surounded by the high rise buildings made of glass, steel and high strength composites. Many flags are flying, almost dancing around their poles in the light breeze, as you pass the Parlamant'aa, the nationæs parliament, housed in the former palace which is covered in the marble and gold leaf baroque facade which made it famous in the 18th century when it was built. There truly is something for everyone in Venji...
Kormosk (Financial Center): If Venji's financial district was impressive, you have never been to Kormosk, Venji's ancient rival city. The city's wealth was originally funded by the seemingly constant wars with the city-state of Ven over the trade-routes throughout the region, however today, the rivalry is more passive. Throughout the city, the Kormo family's crest can be found on all of the city's older buildings, marking the city's rich past. As you venture into the city's old center, you are amazed by the beauty of the city's old guild halls, covered in enough gold to challenge the Parlamant'aa itself. Kormosk is truly the economic center of Prizyetsa. Soon, you find yourself in the university quarter of the city, filled with cozy cafés and parks, all teeming with the thousands of university students attending the various colleges and universities that the city has to offer. Due to this, there are street musicians, bands and poets on almost every street corner, out of free will of course-and the will to share their work with passer-by's.
Kos (Ski-Resort town): Snow falls from the which sky as you cut your way down the slopes, further towards the village at the bottom of the valley--and the aprés ski party after night-fall. If a day carving the slopes of the Kalliana mountains wasn't enough for you, the rich night-life will surely be an experience which will never leave your memory. The numerous bars and pubs, each with their own character, offer an extremely wide variety of entertainment from drinking to dancing to even pole-dancing for the more adventurous of the winter sporters. Kos will truly be an experience you will never forget!
(OOC there are many more cities, but you get the idea...) |
